Aussie Hits 1,000 Facebook Fans Milestone

Aussie reached a milestone today when it passed one thousand ‘likes’ on their official Facebook page.

Established in 2009, Aussie’s following across social media has grown steadily, attracting a wide range of fans, including first home buyers, homeowners, property investors and others looking to improve their financial situation.

Aussie’s progressive social media approach, including encouraging each of Aussie’s 145 stores and 750-plus brokers to actively engage with current and potential customers via their own Facebook Pages, has resulted in an overall Facebook following in excess of 7400 fans.

Phil Eligio, Digital Marketing Manager at Aussie, said: “The challenge for us has always been how to foster an environment where people can share their experiences and get a better understanding of how financial products, not only those available from Aussie, can help people lead their ideal lifestyle.”

“Growing this actively engaged community on Facebook allows us to share key resources that can help people make better financial decisions, and allow consumers to have a real discussion around the development of products and services that we can provide to them.”

People who ‘Like’ Aussie on Facebook receive regular content through their news feeds, including exclusive videos of Executive Chairman and founder John Symond, links to articles on the Aussie blog and updates on the financial, property and real estate markets.

Aussie also conducts regular polls on topical industry issues and uses this platform to share interesting news and photos around the goings on within the company.

Social Media Coordinator Sam Edmond was delighted to reach the milestone saying “it is a great achievement and we are really grateful to all of our fans for their continued support and enthusiasm”.

In addition to Facebook, Aussie also has active presences on several other social media platforms including Twitter and YouTube as well as a corporate blog.
