Aussie home loans confirms more first home buyers now chasing brokers before banks

Mr John Symond, Executive Chairman of Australia's leading mortgage broker, Aussie Home Loans, confirmed the Commonwealth Bank/Mortgage & Finance Association of Australia Home Finance Index for September showing first home buyers are increasingly using brokers.

The index found first-time homebuyers' preferences for using brokers had increased to 34.6% from 29.2% in May. Conversely, those preferring banks dropped from 54.2% in May to 43.8% in September, 2011.

Mr Symond said "Brokers are providing first home buyers greater choice and excellent advice that they may not receive by going to a single lender.
