Aussie scoops the pool at the Australian Broking Awards

Aussie has scooped the pool at the inaugural Australian Broking Awards, held by The Adviser magazine in Sydney last Friday.
Hosted at the overseas passenger terminal on Friday 15 July, and attended by more than 400 guests, the prestigious luncheon set the benchmark for quality in the Australian mortgage industry.
Aussie was shortlisted in four categories and had a clean sweep winning the ABA for:
- Best Web Presence
- Best Marketing
- Newcomer of the Year (Adelaide broker Matthew Rose)
- Major Brokerage of the Year (Non-Franchise)
Aussie’s Chief Executive Officer Mr Stephen Porges said the four awards were a testament to the broad depth of experience and expertise Aussie offers the market.
“We’re thrilled to win these awards and it is wonderful to be recognised within our field for the hard work and dedication of the entire team,” he said.

Mr Porges said the award for Best Newcomer, which went to Adelaide broker Matthew Rose, was well-deserved as he had shown the precise attributes and character a successful broker needs.
“Matthew is one of those standout performers, who not only has written a lot of business in home loans, but has embraced cross-selling and local area marketing in order to achieve his goals,” he said. “He has consistently listened, learned and implemented the knowledge and tools Aussie offers every broker, and if we could clone him – we would.”
Mr Porges added: “The entire Aussie team are committed to providing exceptional customer service through innovation, hard work and constantly listening to what our customers want.”
