Western Australia is Lynchpin in Aussie's Aggressive Growth Strategy

Sunday 14th June, 2009

Aussie’s founder and executive chairman Mr John Symond arrived in Perth today on a mission to help grow the West Australian economy by opening new franchises and creating more jobs.

Aussie has embarked on an aggressive expansion in recent months and Western Australia will play a key role with new franchise stores opening, and five more planned in the Perth metropolitan area over the next 18 months.

Mr Symond is in town to open four new Aussie stores in Cockburn Central, Canning Vale, Morley and Woodvale. These stores have been rebranded following Aussie’s acquisition of Wizard earlier this year.

“It’s wonderful to be able to visit local communities and we’re thrilled to be expanding our presence in WA,” Mr Symond said.

“For Aussie, we are in the middle of an aggressive growth phase here in WA. Our volumes are increasing and with the Wizard integration complete, we now have 15 franchise sites and more than 100 loan writers who can service the needs of West Australians.”

“As customers turn to brands they know and trust in these times, our opportunity continues to grow. To meet this demand, we are looking to recruit an additional five franchisees over the coming 18 months, with more planned beyond this time.”

Mr Symond said the franchise business opportunity with Aussie - one of the country’s most trusted brands -allows the owner operator to grow their business in their local community, utilising the brand, technology and support it is renowned for.

Aussie’s stores offer a complete home finance advisory service, a huge selection of competitively priced home loans, insurance, credit cards, car loans and personal loans, as well as advice for customers about how to save thousands of dollars and years off their financial commitments.

“I’m very excited to visit Perth and we look forward to being able to provide a great service to the local community by offering a better deal on home loans, credit cards, personal loans and other financial needs,” Mr Symond said.

“Our research shows consumers want choice, in products and also how they access financial advice whether it is at your home at a convenient time, in a store, over the phone or online,” he said,

“Aussie is about giving the consumer choice and we can offer all of these options through our network of 800 brokers – both mobile and 140 storefronts – making us the largest non-bank financial services provider in the country. “

Aussie’s research shows that home owners who refinance through the mortgage broker may save up to 0.75 per cent on the standard variable rate, which could amount to tens of thousands of dollars over the life of the mortgage.

Customers now have the choice of seeing Aussie’s expert mortgage brokers at their local franchise, or by calling 13 13 33.
