How do I borrow more?

Can I make extra repayments?
You’re welcome to make unlimited repayments on a variable rate loan at any time, at no extra charge¹. You can access any additional funds you repay through your redraw facility².
What if I need to reduce my loan repayments due to unforeseen circumstances?
We understand the financial pressures unforeseen circumstances can place on you. Call our customer service team on 1300 44 55 66 and we’ll discuss your options.
What if I want to change the account my repayments come from?
Download the direct debit form from Aussie's online account access area or call our customer service team on 1300 44 55 66 and we’ll send you a new direct debit form. (Please note it can take up to five days to set up once we receive this form back. So, it’s a good idea to leave your existing direct debit in place, until your repayments are debited from your new bank account.)
What if my repayments aren't debited from my bank account?
Call our customer service team immediately on 1300 44 55 66, and we’ll check that your direct debit authority has been processed. You may then need to contact your bank.
What happens when interest rates change?
- Paying by direct debit
We will notify you in writing if rates go up and make any necessary adjustment to your direct debit repayment amount.
- Paying by direct salary credit
We will notify you in writing if rates go up and you may need to pass this on to your payroll manager to have your payments increased.
How do I redraw some of my extra repayments?
Visit Aussie Online or call our customer service team on 1300 44 55 66 and we’ll send you a redraw authorisation. On return, we’ll then credit your redrawn amount to your nominated account within two business days.
What happens if I want to buy another property?
Changing your home doesn’t always mean you have to take out a new home loan. We may simply be able to transfer your home loan to a new property. †Call our customer service team on 1300 44 55 66 and we’ll help you find the simplest, most affordable option.
Can I get my salary paid directly into my loan?
Yes, most Aussie Home Loans allow you to deposit your salary directly into your home loan. You can also keep paying your regular direct debit to cover your minimum contractual repayment and then deposit your salary into your home loan as extra payments. You can redraw these extra payments if you need additional cash within two business days by calling our customer service team on 1300 44 55 66.
How can I pay off my home loan balance faster?
There are a number of ways you can pay off your home loan faster. Try to make additional repayments whenever you can, even if you have to redraw the amounts later. Consider switching to fortnightly rather than monthly repayments*, try to pay more than the minimum contractual repayment and don’t reduce your repayments when interest rates go down.
