Looking for a simple home and contents cover?

Aussie Insurance also offers Essential Home and Contents cover for a more basic level of cover.

Essential cover does not include cover for accidental damage or contents in transit and has lower cover levels on some items. However, you are covered for accidental glass breakage, as well as all the events you would expect to be covered for, including fire and theft, plus vandalism, storm, earthquake, legal liability and much more.

Optional Extras

On both Top and Essentials cover, you can choose to add optional extras to increase your level of cover. You can add motor burnout cover when you quote online, or call us on 1300 73 26 44 to add personal property cover to your policy.

With motor burnout cover, you are covered for the fusion or burning out of the actual wiring of a domestic motor by an electrical current.

When you take out motor burnout cover with your contents insurance, Aussie Insurance will cover you for loss or spoilage to frozen or refrigerated food caused by your fridge or freezer accidentally breaking down or the failure of public electricity supply to your home.

You can also choose to cover certain contents for accidental loss or damage anywhere in Australia. This cover is known as Personal Property Australia Wide cover.
