Aussie awarded mortgage broker and non-bank lender of the year

Aussie was last night (Thursday, May 8, 2008) named as Australia’s Best Mortgage Broker and Non-Banker Lender at the annual Australian Banking and Finance Magazine’s Awards for 2008. A pioneer of the industry, Aussie, is the first group to win both categories in the prestigious awards. Chairman of Aussie, Mr John Symond, said:

The group this month will open its 30th retail shopfront, more outlets to be rolled out over the next two months, while also ramping up its recruitment program to attract specialist mortgage advisers and also franchisees.

Despite the current market volatility, Aussie continues to process about $1 billion a month worth of home loans, through the group’s 600 accredited mortgage advisers.
