Australia’s leading mortgage broker, Aussie, has continued its increased commitment to South Australia and the Northern Territory with the appointment of Corey Drew into the role of State Manager SA/NT.
Mr Drew has more than 20 years’ experience in the Financial Services industry, most recently with Commonwealth Bank. He will have responsibility for supporting and growing Aussie’s SA and NT network which includes 12 retail stores and over 70 mortgage brokers.
Mr Drew replaces Aaron Hockey after his move to the role of Aussie’s NSW/ACT State Manager. The appointment of Mr Drew follows Aussie’s recent announcement of the addition of HomeStart Finance to its lender panel.
Aussie’s Chief Executive Officer, Mr James Symond, said “Aussie is performing extremely well in South Australia and the Northern Territory, particularly thanks to the significant focus and extra support provided to the team over the past 18 months. Our plan is to continue this investment and double our customer base in these important regions over the next three years.
“Corey is a well-known figure in the mortgage sector who has significant experience leading a large distribution network and a strong understanding of the local SA and NT markets. He understands how to implement innovative customer focused strategies to deliver results and will be a great asset to both our sales leadership team and our South Australian and Northern Territory Franchisees and brokers,” Mr Symond added.
Mr Drew was born and raised in Adelaide and has worked in various roles in the financial services sector across Australia. These include roles at ANZ in the Northern Territory and Victoria, as State Manager at Bankwest in Sydney, and in various senior leadership roles including Managing Director of Mortgage Force (now Smartline) in both South Australia and Perth. Most recently Mr Drew worked at Commonwealth Bank as the SA/NT State Manager for Third Party Banking and Area Manager SA/NT in Retail Banking.
Mr Drew said “I am delighted to be joining Australia’s leading mortgage broker and working in a market where I have spent the majority of my career.
“Aussie’s brand is well liked in the region and we have a very strong platform to build on in order to expand our footprint and strengthen our offering to benefit borrowers and mortgage brokers across SA and NT,” he concluded.
