Aussie Home Loans has appointed Richard Burns to the position of General Manager Customer, commencing Monday 9 February 2015.
Mr Burns will have responsibility for Aussie’s brand, marketing and digital presence, customer retention and data, and IT architecture and operations; leading a team of more than 40.
Mr Burns comes with over 20 years’ experience in marketing, product, strategy, digital and user experience. He joins Aussie after seven years with CommSec where he is currently General Manager Customer Experience, responsible for the end-to-end user experience of CommSec’s customers. Previous roles at CommSec included Head of Strategy and Head of Marketing.
Founder and Executive Chairman of Aussie, Mr John Symond AM, said “General Manager Customer is a critical and unique role within our business, and we have been searching across industries and markets to find the right person for the job. I am delighted that this search led us to Richard and that he accepted my offer to join the Aussie team.
