Sutherland Mayor, Councillor Carmelo Pesce, and Aussie Chairman, Mr John Symond, officially opened Aussie Cronulla today Thursday, November 9, 2017, with Cronulla High School and Cronulla Surf Club to benefit.
The new store, located at Shop 1, 14 Gerrale St, is owned by one of Aussie’s former top executives and local residents, Vaughan Fowler and his wife Fiona.
The Fowlers, who are lifetime residents of the Sutherland Shire, have announced sponsorship deals with the local surf club and high school.
For each home loan settled over $400,000, Aussie Cronulla will make a cash donation to either Cronulla Surf Club’s Crays Junior Activities Group or Cronulla High School*. There is also an annual cash donation to The Crays and sponsorship of a Life Saving Skills Day for nippers.
Vaughan Fowler said “Aussie Cronulla is seeing many first home buyers keen to get into apartments in the area utilising the First Home Buyers Assistance Scheme, while other customers are looking to refinance their mortgages and take advantage of the currently low interest rates.”
Mrs Michele Cole, Chairperson of Cronulla Crays, said “We are so grateful for the generous support provided by Fiona and Vaughan Fowler, who have been valued members of the club with their children for many years.
“We urge all of our members and families to go to Aussie Cronulla for their home loans so they can help the Crays progress our work in creating safer conditions for young people in the water,” she added.
Coupled with their strong experience, Vaughan and Fiona are backed up by Aussie’s unique mortgage software, which ranks home loans quickly and accurately for their customers to ensure they can choose the right home loan for their needs.
Customers can see Aussie Cronulla’s expert mortgage brokers during the store’s opening hours of 8.30am to 5.30pm from Monday to Friday and outside of these times by calling (02) 9523 1988 for a free appointment.
