Sydney’s Inner-West has continued to surge as one of Sydney’s fastest growing property areas, with median house sale prices in Balmain rising 30 per cent in the first six months of 2016 to $2.35 million, according to CoreLogic RP Data.

The high volume of price growth and mortgage activity in the area has prompted Australia’s leading mortgage broker, Aussie Home Loans, to open its 200th store in Balmain, located at 335 Darling Street, Balmain.

Co-franchisee of Aussie Balmain and 19-year veteran in the mortgage industry, Mr Lindsay Rogers, said “We are seeing sustained home price growth in the inner-west thanks to its broad appeal to both home hunters and investors alike who are keen to buy close to the CBD and right on Sydney’s beautiful harbour.

“We are also seeing strong refinancing activity as savvy borrowers take advantage of the very low mortgage rates now being offered by lenders, with many variable and fixed interest rates now under 4 per cent,” Mr Rogers said.

The opening of Aussie Balmain as Aussie’s 200th store was a landmark for the mortgage broker as it continues to grow its distribution footprint across Australia.

Aussie Balmain is Mr Rogers’ second Aussie franchise. After working as a mobile mortgage broker and a sales manager with Aussie over two decades, Lindsay opened Aussie Newtown with his son Matt in 2012.

The new store sees the father and son duo expand their partnership, opening Aussie Balmain with one of their experienced Newtown mortgage brokers, David Leotta.

Executive Chairman of Aussie, Mr John Symond, said “The opening of Aussie Balmain is an important milestone and I could think of no one better to open Aussie’s 200th store than Lindsay, Matt and David.”

Mr Rogers said “Despite being a new store, we have a very strong and experienced team in Matt, David and myself and we’re looking forward to meeting more members of the Balmain community and helping them to find the right home loans for their needs in what is becoming an increasingly complex mortgage environment.

“We offer a variety of home finance options to suit every kind of buyer, including a huge selection of competitively priced home loans, insurance and personal loans, as well as advice for customers about how to save thousands of dollars and years off their mortgages when refinancing,” he added.

Aussie Balmain gives local home buyers the choice of seeing Aussie’s expert mortgage brokers either during their opening hours from 9am to 5.30pm Monday to Friday, or by appointment outside these hours by calling (02) 8123 8608 or 13 13 33.
