Mother of two young children, Marianna Scerri, has become the landmark 1,000th mortgage broker for Aussie Home Loans.
A resident of Craigieburn in Melbourne’s north, Marianna is a mother of two teenagers Zachary and Lara and has long held an ambition to work in the finance industry, after a career in the retail and motor vehicle sectors.
Marianna has just completed an intensive three week mortgage broking course in Melbourne to become fully accredited with a Diploma of Financial Services, and will take advantage of Aussie’s free mentoring program over the next two years.
She said “I am a bit daunted by the challenge of mortgage broking however the level and quality of the training I have received from Aussie has been outstanding and was one of the many reasons I chose to join the Aussie group. I am now on my way to realising my dream of establishing my own business, with the freedom and flexible hours that comes with it."
“I love the Aussie brand and have always had a desire to get into the finance industry, which Aussie is now providing me”, she added.
Aussie’s training program, which recently won the Best Career Development Program at the 2015 Asia-Pacific Banking & Finance Magazine Awards, is designed to make Aussie’s brokers fully equipped to help any customer’s needs and aspirations.
Chief Executive Officer of Aussie, Mr James Symond said “I am delighted that Marianna has become our 1,000th broker in Australia. I am sure she will excel in her role and we will give her every support to achieve her goals and provide our customers in this very fast growing area of Melbourne.”
“We are very proud of our career development program, which allows people from all backgrounds to launch into a new career in the fast growing Mortgage Broking industry, which arranges more than 50 per cent of home loans in Australia”, he added.
Marianna said “Craigieburn is experiencing substantial growth with the development of new transport routes and new housing estates, attracting many young families to the area”.
