A young mother from Duncraig, Jessica Davey, has won $10,000 for simply referring her sister to her Aussie Home Loans’ mortgage broker, Barry Stribling.

Jessica and her husband Brad were initially assisted by Mr Stribling to buy their first home in 2013 after getting married, and more recently to get the right home loan to buy their new home after their family expanded, and Jessica gave birth to their first baby three months ago.

“I was so happy to win the $10,000, which will help us support our new baby and go on our first family holiday. This has been such a great competition because I always refer all of my friends to Barry anyway because he has always been a great help to us,” Ms Davey said.

Mr Stribling said “I am delighted for the Davey’s as they are a great young family and will put the prize money to good use. I used to work with Jessica’s father for seven years before I became a mortgage broker, so the Davey’s receiving the prize has added meaning through our family connection.”

Having been with Aussie for four years, Mr Stribling is flat out helping young people secure their first property, while also helping borrowers take advantage of the historic low interest rates by refinancing to more cost-effective loans.

“We are in a red hot mortgage market and lenders are fighting for business, so there’s little reason why anyone with a standard loan scenario should be paying a mortgage that has an interest rate starting with a five,” Mr Stribling concluded.
