Now that we’ve been part of the Twitter community for over six months, Aussie is proud to be able to support Sydney’s Twestival, part of an annual global fundraising event that uses the power of social media for good causes. We see it as a great opportunity to get on board and support a brilliant cause!
This year’s Sydney Twestival is on tonight, March 25th, at the Australian Centre for Photography in Paddington. All funds for this year’s Twestival goes to support Concern Worldwide’s education programs.
Kids in developing nations have the kind of obstacles to learning that we don’t even think about, and that can easily be overcome with financial support. Through supporting Sydney Twestival, we’re helping concern raise money to build schools, train teachers, provide clean water, furnish classrooms, provide school meals, and establish parent-teacher groups.
Last year’s global Twestival raised over a quarter of a million dollars helping Concern Worldwide fund in excess of 55 new wells across Uganda, Ethiopia and India. The Sydney event raised over $1500, all done at very short notice. This year’s event is going to be bigger.
We are excited about this year’s Twestival and are pleased to able to bring this event to life.
