Here at Aussie we are all about helping Australians to get ahead financially.
When we set up the Aussie blog, we wanted it to be all about people, money and the complicated relationships that often exists between the two.
So if you’re new to the property market – whether as a first home buyer or first time investor – this blog is for you.
Yes, we occasionally digress from improving your financial situation by running contests and to also on occasion give you an insight into what it’s like to work at Aussie.
But for the most part, this blog is here to give you ideas, tips and insights about how you can save more, invest for the future or navigate tricky financial situations.
Meet the Aussie bloggers
John Symond – Our founder, John writes a popular blog segment called “Dear John” where he answers questions we receive at Aussie from readers and customers. If you get a bit squeamish talking about money, especially when the numbers get big then maybe John can help you navigate the sometimes confusing world of home loans, property and finance in general. If you have a question for John, simply post it in the comments of a Dear John post or tweet it to us @Aussie with the hashtag #askaussie.
Diane Leonard – Diane is the digital marketing manager at Aussie Home Loans. She is a self-professed geek and lover of all things digital. She continues to search high and low for the healthier version of herself, and when she can fit it in, you’ll find her preoccupied with her cat – Jez, buzzing around Sydney on her scooter or attempting to learn a new tune on her ukulele. Diane’s blog topics of interest include property investment and what it’s like to work at Aussie.
Michelle McKinnon – Michelle is the Communications and PR manager at Aussie and a self confessed foodie. She’s eaten her way through more than 40 countries and is hungry for more trips abroad! A lover of animals and a recent newlywed, she’s keen to grow her family with the addition of a furry friend. Proud to be a Sydney-sider but boasting a dual passport Michelle is keen to indulge her wanderlust and return to Spain and Italy for more flavour filled adventures, but this time with her husband!
