Following on from the great success of last year’s coaching clinic for local football players which featured Collingwood rookies, current players Brad Dick and Cameron Wood will be in town to help the local team.
The players will be in Poowong for a coaching clinic for local football players on March 31 at the Poowong clubhouse.
The players will run the locals through their paces, and will then host a Q&A session before signing autographs for any local fans.
As part of Aussie’s sponsorship of Collingwood, the players have been invited by local Aussie mortgage broker Leanne Johnson, who also sponsors the Poowong Football and Netball Club.
“We had such a great response last year when the two boys came down and I’m thrilled Brad and Cameron will be here to give the team a few tips and help us start the season on a high note this year,” she said.
“Also, being the mum of three Poowong Netball Club players, I hope this visit will inspire our young (and older) sportspeople to be the best they can be.”
Born in Korumburra, Mrs Johnson moved back into the area in 2001. She has a long history in the mortgage broking business and has been with Aussie since June 2008.
As part of her local business, Mrs Johnson offers a complete home finance advisory service, a huge selection of competitively priced home loans, as well as advice for customers about how to save thousands of dollars and years off their financial commitments.
Aussie’s research shows that home owners who refinance through a mortgage broker generally save up to 0.75 per cent on the standard variable rate, which could amount to tens of thousands of dollars over the life of the mortgage.
Customers can call Mrs Johnson to book an appointment on 0414 812 911 or 131 13 33.
