Aussie Is Number One: BRW Fast Franchises 2010

February 25, 2010 By Michelle McKinnon 1 Comment

Aussie has been recognised as one of the country’s top 10 fastest growing franchises in BRW Magazine’s annual Fast Franchises list.

The BRW Fast Franchises list ranks companies according to their average annual turnover growth over three years, and as a result Aussie came in at number seven.

The magazine also ranks companies by growth in the number of retail outlets, with Aussie securing the top spot.

Aussie’s founder and Executive Chairman, Mr John Symond, said the results were rewarding and further cemented Aussie’s position as the country’s pre-eminent non-bank financial services group.

“In our 18 years of operation, we have achieved a great deal of success and introduced competition into the home loan industry, changing the way Australians borrow money for their homes.

In the last few years, we’ve expanded to include non-mortgage products such as the low rate Aussie MasterCard™, personal loans, car loans and insurance.

Aussie has also been awarded Mortgage Broker of the Year by Australian Banking and Finance magazine for the last two years running and Mr Symond said this latest accolade was testament to the opportunities Aussie has always offered its mobile brokers.

“Aussie brokers have always had the opportunity to be owner/operators of their own businesses in our mobile channel,” Mr Symond said. “We now have a rapidly expanding retail network with more than 150 stores across the country.”

He said the franchise business opportunity with Aussie – one of the country’s most trusted brands – allows the
owner operator to grow their business in their local community, utilising the brand, technology and support it
is renowned for.

Mr Symond said Aussie was always looking to recruit brokers to its mobile and franchise network.

The Fast Franchises issue of the magazine is on sale today at the cover price of $7.95, at your local newsagent.
