Despite a relatively flat period in Canberra’s property values over the last five years, there are still pockets that are more affordable and more expensive!
In our new report compiled with CoreLogic RP Data, we discovered that the north of Canberra and Queanbeyan regions have the most affordable houses within 20 kilometres of Canberra’s CBD.
Charnwood came out on top of the most affordable houses with a median house value of $396,000, while the most affordable houses within 10 kilometres of Canberra’s CBD are in Page where the typical house price is $462,000.
For apartments within 20 kilometres of Canberra’s CBD, the most affordable suburbs are Crestwood and Queanbeyan East, with median unit values of $239,000 and $253,000 respectively.
Hughes, with a median value of $286,000, is the most affordable suburb for units within 10 kilometres of the city.
