With September fast approaching, I’m looking forward seeing pretty blooms springing up everywhere. And whether you’re an indoor or outdoor gardener, a home-owner or a renter, now is the time to be preparing your garden for spring.
So this month, I thought I’d get my garden organised in readiness for a burst of spring colour. I don’t have a big garden, more a little inner city courtyard.
It may be a small space but I’ll have you know that my little courtyard garden won “Best Spring Garden” in my suburb so I feel I’m more than qualified to be advising you on this topic.
Okay, okay, so that was way back in 2005 and before I actually lived there but a girl can aspire to be more of a green thumb and attempt to bring her garden back to its former glory.
Now with confessions and aspirations out of the way and with 4 more weekends till the start of spring, I hope you’ll join me in this quest to get organised and bring a bit of love and colour into our gardens!
This is what you’ll be doing over the next few weeks:
- Week 1 – Garden tools and outdoor furniture
- Week 2 – The BBQ, gutters, fences and pavers
- Week 3 – Get your lawn ready
- Week 4 – Potted plants and garden beds
- Week 5 – Spring planting
Download the August action plan check-list to take action now. If you start today, you’ll have all this done by 1 September!
