Our mission is to become your trusted lending specialist for life. There are a multitude of options out there for people to consider when looking for a home loan and it can become overwhelming. Some of the questions people typically face are where do I start, how much can I borrow and who has the cheapest rate?
At Aussie Taigum, we can help you answer these questions, but also aim to add value by providing guidance on other important factors, like:

Services we provide
We can find the right loan for you from our panel of 21 leading lenders.Some of these lenders may be willing to approve a loan for you, while others may not. We’ll help you by finding ones that suit your circumstances , and negotiating the right loan at a great rate.
We understand our clients want a home, but invariably need a mortgage to make this possible. When entering into a large financial commitment, it is also important to make sure you are protected in case of an unfortunate incident. At Aussie, we offer home, contents, landlord and mortgage protection insurances which can be arranged in conjunction with your loan application so that you get competitive cover when you need it.
Our service standards
Client needs come first
At Aussie Taigum, we listen and will take time to understand your needs and objectives before offering a solution. We have no lender preference and will recommend the loan for you with impartiality. We will not suggest you do something that we would not do ourselves. If you are looking for assistance on a matter that does not fit with our skill set, we will happily refer you to someone who is better placed to provide that advice.
We will do what we say we will do. Issues commonly arise with loan applications as we deal with the credit and settlement teams of our lenders. Our aim is to navigate through this on your behalf, to keep you informed at all times, respond to queries and ensure your loan settles on time.
While you may see us to obtain a home loan, we endeavour to provide you with other value adding services. Whether you are a first time buyer, or experienced property investor, we will happily provide free RP Data reports to help you find the right property, and offer property and mortgage protection insurances to ensure you protect your lifestyle.

How we can help you
The first home buyer
This can be daunting. We will spend the time to answer your questions and make sure you know what’s involved, and whether you are in a position financially to purchase a home. It’s important to make sure you have as large a deposit as possible, and that you are comfortable with the minimum repayments you will be required to make, even if interest rates rise in the future.
In assessing your financial readiness, we will discuss all options with you, including use of government grants and any potential family equity assistance. If you are not ready now, we will help put you on the path to purchasing a home in the future.
If you are ready, we will assist you in obtaining pre-approved finance before you purchase a property. This will provide clarity on what you can afford to spend on a home, and make obtaining finance simpler once you do sign a contract to purchase.
The property investor
By now, you will have an understanding of what’s required financially to purchase a property. For you, we can assist not only in obtaining a great deal on your financing, but also provide free RP Data property reports to assist you research potential properties and areas that you are interested in.
When purchasing a property for investment purposes, it will also be critical to review how your financing is structured to maximize your financial returns. Factors to consider include how to best preserve debt for tax deductibility purposes, interest only loans, and the use of offset accounts. The advice of an accountant could also be valuable at this point.
Looking to re-finance
When re-financing, getting the best deal possible becomes paramount. At Aussie Taigum, we contact lenders on our panel directly to make sure we obtain the best offer possible which most of the time will be better than if you went directly to the bank.
We will then assist you evaluate the different options available, looking not only at the rate, but re-finance and discharge fees, ongoing fees, and the features and benefits of different loans before recommending a solution. We will only recommend a re-finance solution if it is in your best interests.
Fees and referrals
Many people are surprised to learn that we do not charge them for our service. We receive commissions from the lender for introducing the loan to them. These commissions will be disclosed to you at the time we prepare your loan application. These commissions are not on-charged to you by the lender.
Our aim is to provide you with a first class, valuable service that doesn’t cost you anything. If indeed we do meet your expectations in that regard, the biggest favour you can do for us is to refer your friends and family to us. By referring new business to us, we can focus on our clients’ needs rather than chasing new business.
We will work hard to earn your trust so that you are comfortable referring people to us. Our business depends on it.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank John Rizkallah of Aussie Taigum Branch for his very thorough and efficient service provided recently in the purchase of our new home. Due to a complicated work situation – our current lender was having trouble arranging our new mortgage. After a short 45 minute appointment with John, and providing him with all our information, documentation, he was able to source a new lender and arrange home loan approval with 48 hours. John ensured we completed all necessary documentation accurately and returned to the lender in a timely manner, and followed up on a number of occasions to ensure we were all on track for settlement day.There were delays on settlement day – John also took the time to contact me and keep me informed – advising me of the completion of purchase before both our lawyer and real estate agents.
I must say a big thank you to Linda and Scott at Aussie Taigum for their awesome effort! A week prior to settlement, my solicitors notified me that the bank has not received my loan documents despite it saying “delivered” from Australia Post. Linda promptly arranged re-sending of the documents and followed up diligently with me throughout the process. With a day to spare the loan document was received by the bank and settlement was completed on time!
