Aussie has been in Townsville since the 1990s, servicing the region with a team of mobile mortgage brokers that could visit you at home or your workplace, and at a time that is convenient for you, that same quality of service isstill offered to this day.
Aussie Townsville was one of the first regional franchises to open in July 2006 and now has two offices for your convenience, Aussie Townsville at Domain Central and Aussie Townsville City in Sturt Street. Our team of Mortgage Brokers provide the same friendly and fast service that first set us apart from the rest. Fees and referrals
Many people are surprised to learn that we do not charge them for our service. We receive commissions from the lender for introducing the loan to them. These commissions will be disclosed to you at the time we prepare your loan application. These commissions are not on-charged to you by the lender.
Our aim is to provide you with a first class, valuable service that doesn’t cost you anything. If indeed we do meet your expectations in that regard, the biggest favour you can do for us is to refer your friends and family to us. By referring new business to us, we can focus on our clients’ needs rather than chasing new business.

How we can help you
The First Home Buyer
This can be daunting. We will spend the time to answer your questions and make sure you know what’s involved, and whether you are in a position financially to purchase a home. It’s important to make sure you have as large a deposit as possible, and that you are comfortable with the minimum repayments you will be required to make, even if interest rates rise in the future. In assessing your financial readiness, we will discuss all options with you, including use of government grants and any potential family equity assistance. If you are not ready now, we will help put you on the path to purchasing a home in the future. If you are ready, we will assist you in obtaining pre-approved finance before you purchase a property. This will provide clarity on what you can afford to spend on a home, and make obtaining finance simpler once you do sign a contract to purchase.
The Property Investor
By now, you will have an understanding of what’s required financially to purchase a property. For you, we can assist not only in obtaining a great deal on your financing, but also provide free RP Data property reports to assist you research potential properties and areas that you are interested in. When purchasing a property for investment purposes, it will also be critical to review how your financing is structured to maximize your financial returns. Factors to consider include how to best preserve debt for tax deductibility purposes, interest only loans, and the use of offset accounts. The advice of an accountant is recommended at this point and is extremely valuable.

We understand our clients want a home, but invariably need a mortgage to make this possible. When entering into a large financial commitment, it is also important to make sure you are protected in case of an unfortunate incident. At Aussie, we offer mortgage protection insurance which can be arranged in conjunction with your loan application so that you get competitive cover when you need it.

Jim is a local to the region where he grew up in the Burdekin district on his family cane farm. Jim is Commercially Accredited and holds a Diploma in Finance and Mortgage Broking and has been with Aussie since 2002 when they launched their National Mortgage Broking Service. Jim is enthusiastic about growing the brand and the team of Mortgage Specialists in the Townsville region, and over the years the Franchise has won multiple awards with Aussie.

Eric has been a local resident of Townsville since 1977 and has been in retail and business since 1982. He joined Aussie in 2003 as a broker and has since helped many customers with both residential and commercial loans to achieve their own property and financial goals. Eric’s goal is also to ensure the entire Aussie Townsville team and brokers are the most knowledgeable and credit savvy, enabling customers to feel safe, smart and special by delivering the right customer solutions with superior customer service.

Geoff joined Aussie in 2012 and has over 20 years experience in the banking and financial services sector. He has a Bachelor of Business Degree and holds a Diploma in Financial and Mortgage Broking Management. Geoff is a North Queensland local and was born and raised in the Burdekin. Geoff is passionate about helping clients achieve their dream of purchasing their first home or their first investment property.

Kevin comes from a defence force family and travelled throughout Australia due to frequent transfers. Kevin started his finance career by joining his local bank as a teller in 1986. Progressing through to home loans and then commercial lending, Kevin learned his skills in banking, before moving into financial planning and mortgage broking. Joining Aussie in June 2015, Kevin holds diplomas in mortgage broking, financial planning and financial advising. He can draw on his wealth of knowledge and experience to work out the right loan structure to meet your finance goals. When not working Kevin is often running or cycling around The Strand.

Sapphire joined Aussie in 2011 and has over 15 years experience in the banking and financial services sector. She has a Diploma in Finance & Mortgage Broking Management and was nominated in 2015 for Queensland Best Loan Administrator. Sapphire will work between you, your lender and solicitor to assist you through the loan application to settlement process. She is an invaluable member of the Aussie Townsville team.
