The maximum amount you can borrow for a car or personal loandepends on you. It's based on your current financial situation and your capacity to meet your monthly repayments.
We do have minimum amounts though. You must borrow at least $3000 for a personal loan or a car loan.
To check how much you can afford to borrow, look at what you currently spend each month – then work out how much money you have left over from your monthly pay. That’ll give you a ballpark idea of what you can afford in repayments, but make sure you leave some room for those extra things that come up.
With your estimated repayment amount in mind, go to our repayment calculator. Move the loan amount slider until the monthly repayments match your estimate.
The amount you’ve estimated is just that, an estimate. Your situation will be different to everyone else’s. When you apply using our online application form, you’ll need to give us some information about your income, expenses and how much you’d like to borrow. Soon after you’ve completed the form, we’ll give you a call to let you know how much we can lend you.
You can also call us on 13 13 55. Someone from our car and personal loan team will talk to you to understand your unique needs, and then work out a way to help meet them.
1Based on lending criteria and the specific financial circumstances of the applicant. Your results may vary.
