Benefits

 

1. Trauma Benefit

Financial support if you experience any of these 13 medical conditions:

  • cancer*
  • cardiomyopathy*
  • heart attack*
  • stroke*
  • coronary artery bypass surgery*
  • surgery to the aorta*
  • kidney failure
  • Alzheimer’s Disease (dementia)
  • paralysis
  • severe burn
  • loss of independent existence
  • total loss of sight
  • total loss of hearing

At policy commencement is equal to 30% of the Death and Terminal Illness Benefit.

2. Death and Terminal Illness Benefit

In the event that you die or become terminally ill, a lump sum benefit will be paid that can be used for any purpose.

  • It’s paid to you, your estate or nominated beneficiaries – not the lender.
  • You can cover your total loan amount or whatever amount you choose to a maximum of $750,000.
  • Your cover operates independently of your loan.

3. Complimentary Accidental Injury Benefit

Financial assistance while you're on the mend. Three months' benefits when you can't work for 30 days or more due to a disabling injury at the rate of 1% of the Death Benefit per month (max. $2,500 per month)^.

Eligibility

You’ll automatically be accepted for cover if you’re:

  • Aged 18 to 59 years;
  • An Australian or New Zealand citizen or permanent resident; and
  • An applicant or borrower on a loan (or loan increase) taken in the last 12 months.

Product flexibility

  • You can adjust your cover to suit your budget
  • You can align your premium payments with your pay cycle or loan repayments.

Exclusions

  • Suicide/self-inflicted insured events within 13 months (Death & Terminal Illness Benefit)
  • Self-inflicted insured events (Trauma and Accidental Injury Benefit)
  • Any insured condition existing at commencement (or in first three months for six insured conditions marked*)
  • Insured events caused by certain prior conditions or adverse family medical history
